Reno Hayek Symposium

You can basically do three things on this site:

1. Read blog posts
2. Comment on blog posts
3. Create blog posts, or “blog”

We encourage you to do as much as possible of the first two, and if you have a Contributor account, you can do all three as much as you like.

Reading Posts

When you first visit the site, you’ll see the most recent blog posts (entries) presented in reverse chronological order. At the bottom of the page, there’s a link to older content. On the right of the screen, you can browse the Archive by month or by Topic. Each post will display the number of comments (if any) in a link at the top of the post. Clicking that link will take you a page where you can read or create comments.

Commenting

At the top of each post, there’s a “# comments” link or a “Be the first to comment” link that takes you to a post’s Comment view, where you can read comments and make your own under the section “Leave a Reply”. You may need to scroll down a bit if you are the first commenter. If you are not logged in, you will see a Name, Email, Website, and Comment box. Website is the only one that is not required. If you are logged in, you will only see the Comment box. Write something relevant to the post or other comments and click “Submit Comment”.

How to Post

1. Login to the Dashboard at http://renohayek.com/wp-login.php. Email Tom for a username and password or use an invitation code to register an account.
2. Click the Posts tab on the left.
3. Click the Add New sub tab.
4. Start filling in the blanks.
5. As needed, select a category, add tags, and make other selections from the sections below the post. Each of these sections is explained here.
6. When you are ready, click Publish.
